Supergirl Flies to Second Season
CBS plans to renew five of the TV shows it introduced in the current season, CEO Les Moonves told the Deutsche Bank Media, Internet & Telecom Conference this morning. The network introduced five freshman series so far this season — Limitless, Code Black, Life in Pieces, Supergirl and Angel from Hell.
The DC Comics drama, starring Melissa Benoist, debuted late October last year to close to 13 million total viewers and was seen a success by critics. The most recent episode still had 6.69 million viewers. With a crossover with The Flash coming down the pipe, it’s clear the showrunners and the studio are enjoying the ride and taking fans along with them.
