Red Fly Resurrecting Darth Maul Video Game
The developers behind the canceled Star Wars game that would have starred nefarious Sith Lord Darth Maul now say they are planning to “resurrect” the title. In a recent Reddit AMA, Red Fly Studio CEO and owner Dan Borth talked more about the project and how he hopes it can eventually see the light of day.
In the online Q&A session, Borth revealed that Red Fly is currently working on a “full, next-gen demo of all things Maul to show to the powers that be.”
In the AMA, Borth revealed a few notes from what the game’s background might be.
The game would feature: “Maul age 9 or 11 to right before Episode 1.” “We wanted to show what he went through to become a Sith. Showcase the torture the Emperor put him through. Show how you as the player would have made the same mistakes and ended up a Sith.”
He concluded the AMA by imploring fans to assist in a social media campaign. “What can you do to help us? Please go to the Red Fly Studio Twitter Feed: https://twitter.com/redflystudio and post your support! Post #WeWantMaul on EA and Disney’s twitter and social media outlets – let them hear you!”
