Norwegian Cruise Line Boldly Cruising With Star Trek Celebrities
Norwegian Cruise Line will soon be taking about 2,200 Trekkies on the first officially licensed Star Trek cruise. In addition to the fans, Star Trek celebrities will also be enjoying the comforts of the ship. These include The Next Generation’s Marina Sirtis, Jonathan Frakes, and Denise Crosby, Voyager’s Robert Picardo, Deep Space Nine’s James Darren, recurring Star Trek nuisance John de Lancie, and even William Shatner himself.
The trip will leave from Miami on January 9, 2017, and it’ll make stops at Cozumel, Nassau, and Norwegian Cruise Line’s private island. The six-day cruise is part of the 50th anniversary celebration for the Star Trek franchise, which first hit the airwaves in 1966. The cruise will also feature a performance by the Enterprise Blues Band featuring Vaughn Armstrong, Steve Rankin and Casey Biggs. The band members have all appeared as actors on Star Trek shows.
Fares are expected to start at $975 per person.
