JJ Abrams: Luke Left Out of Trailer/Poster Was “No Accident”

Ever since the release of the official poster for Star Wars “The Force Awakens” and the subsequent movie trailer, fans have been asking one universal question: “Where is Luke Skywalker?”

The hero of the first three Star Wars movies (1977-1983), Luke (played by Mark Hamill) has been a movie icon to fans across the world. To have him suddenly missing has caused a viral uproar.

Recently, the Sydney Morning Herald caught up with JJ Abrams and asked him where Luke was. His answer was short and final: “I can’t wait for you to find out!” and he added, “It was no accident,” confirming that he was specifically left out of movie material to date.

He also confirmed that another scoring session with John Williams (whom JJ called “a god”) is in order and they are still working on visual effects for the upcoming film.
