Jeremy Bulloch Talks “Force Awakens”, Westerns, and Boba Fett’s Survival of the Sarlacc Pit
Recently, “Get Your Geek On” talk radio in San Antonio on 930 AM “The Answer” conducted an interview with Jeremy Bulloch. Bulloch, the celebrated actor from “Empire Strikes Back”, “Return of the Jedi”, and “Revenge of the Sith” spoke on a number of issues. The host, David Gremillion, made sure to clarify at several points that this interview was not intended to violate any agreements with Disney or Lucasfilm. “I also apologize for the various clicks and pops heard in the recording,” Gremillion said. “For whatever reason, my personal recording equipment wasn’t behaving itself. I’m thinking of chucking it into the Sarlacc Pit for Boba Fett to have.”
On the Mandalorian armor his character “Boba Fett” wore: “You can’t sit down in it, it’s very restrictive.” “Just crossing over (on Tatooine set) would make you drip with sweat.”
Did Boba Fett survive the Sarlacc Pit? “Yes, I think he wouldn’t stay down there. He would have crawled out. He must get out, I think he’s too good a character. I hope they do a spin-off.”
On a possible draft involving a fight between Han Solo and Boba Fett on Endor: “No, there was no draft. He might have come out guns blazing when Han says ‘Boba Fett? Where?”, but no nothing on Endor.”
On a cameo in The Force Awakens: “No, I was away anyway and I wasn’t offered a part. I’d like to have done a scene in the cantina, drinking champagne. It would have been nice to done something.”
On advice he would give anyone seeking a Hollywood career: “If you have that will in you…you gotta keep on. You can’t say ‘I can’t do it’, you have to keep going.”
